Older style with a flair of modern design and technology seems to be the trend this season. Designers say this is because more people are working longer or having to work several jobs causing them to be at home less. Creating a kitchen with the feeling of country comfort helps relieve the stress of their day to day work. American Tradition and Heritage seem to be the most popular. American Tradition features a modern counrty home. The use of a medium and dark tone oak give this kitchen a look of comfort and beauty. Heritage features a modern counrty home. Similar to the American Tradition, Heritage uses the medium and dark tones but also uses a small amount of color accents for a little flare. Rustic features a blend of country and contemporary. It uses bold colors, contemporary layout with a touch of that country feeling in the cabinet work. Contemporary features a very modern retro look. The use of stainless steel is a must. Simple but sleek layout and decor make this a rising choice.

What the designers have to say

HERITAGE
Meg Spice
-

"Heritage is the top growing choice for Californians this year. I love this new design of home comfort. The accent of color helps add to its beauty and likabiliy..."

AMERICAN TRADITION
Ralph Thyme
-

"American Tradition is the highest rated design so far this year. Though I mush say it does not fit into most lifestyle, it helps create that home sweet home feeling."

RUSTIC
Ralph Thyme
-

"I love the combo of counrty and contemporary. It is warm, welcoming and cheery. I would say the majority of clients that are wanting this in the DC area are between the ages of 30-50 years."

AMERICAN TRADITION

-

"Though the New Yorkers are not favoring this design, I find it charming. It has beautiful craftmanship and the layout works well for the typical family."

CONTEMPORARY
Fara Wang
-

"This is the choice of the New Yorkers. Because most of the population is under the age of 40 years, this hot hip look is the way to go. Plus the layout is perfect for apartments and condos especially those that host cocktail parties that are popular amoung the young crowd."

RUSTIC
Meg Spice
-

"Rustic does not seems to go well with Californians, but the bold colors are starting to come back. Most of our designs coming soon feature bold colors with an old style layout."
